Dreamers’ Circus release The Lost Musicians on 16 October 2026, an album born from their acclaimed stage collaboration with Danish contemporary dance company Aaben Dans and inspired by William Heinesen’s classic Faroese novel The Lost Musicians.
Originally composed for the 2024 production De Fortabte..., which culminated in ten sold-out performances in Roskilde, the music was created in close dialogue with movement, storytelling and Heinesen’s distinctive world. Across 17 tracks, Dreamers’ Circus move between intimacy, playfulness, darkness and drama, expanding their Nordic musical language into something vividly theatrical and cinematic.
Faroese actor Olaf Johannessen appears as narrator, reading excerpts from Heinesen’s text while the trio weave music around his voice. The album also features vocal ensemble Ars Nova, further expanding a sound world in which music, literature and theatre are closely intertwined.
